# Terms of Service — PlayOrShine

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of PlayOrShine
("we", "us", "PlayOrShine", "Service"). By creating an account or using the
Service you agree to these Terms.
## 1. Eligibility
- You must be at least 13 years old to create an individual account.
Players under 13 must use a `parent_under13` account managed by a parent
or guardian.
- Coaches, athletic directors, league directors, and sports trainers
represent that they are authorised to act on behalf of their team,
league, or organisation.
## 2. Accounts
You are responsible for the security of your account credentials and for
all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at
[security@playorshine.com](mailto:security@playorshine.com) if you suspect
unauthorised access.
## 3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- post content that is unlawful, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit,
defamatory, or that endangers minors;
- impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with a team,
league, school, or organisation;
- attempt to scrape, enumerate, or extract data from the platform in bulk;
- probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service except as
permitted in our coordinated-disclosure process at
[security@playorshine.com](mailto:security@playorshine.com);
- interfere with the rate limits, RLS controls, or other security
mechanisms of the Service.
## 4. User content
You retain ownership of content you post. You grant PlayOrShine a
worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display,
reproduce, and distribute that content **on the Service** and in
marketing material derived from public posts.

## 5. Subscriptions and payments
Paid features are billed through Stripe. Pricing is shown on the
[Pricing page](/pricing). You can cancel at any time from Settings. We do
not refund partial periods unless required by law.
## 6. Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with or
without notice. You can delete your account from Settings → Account →
Delete Account at any time.
## 7. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. PlayOrShine
is not responsible for the accuracy of user-submitted stats, scores,
schedules, or rosters.
## 8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, PlayOrShine's liability for any
claim arising out of the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the
amount you paid to us in the 12 months before the claim or (b) USD 100.
## 9. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless PlayOrShine for claims arising
from your content or your violation of these Terms.
## 10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, without
regard to conflict of laws principles.
## 11. Changes
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced in-product
with at least 14 days' notice when reasonably possible. Continued use
after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
